Erie County Community College (EC3) will celebrate its first graduating class on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023. This marks a milestone since the college opened its doors in September of 2021.

There are 28 students graduating from EC3 with an associate degree or certificate from the college.  19 associate degrees and nine welding certificates will be awarded at the graduation.

The ceremony will be held at the EC3 Erie West location beginning at 10 AM welcoming family and friends of the graduates. Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, will deliver the first commencement speech to the graduates. Local and state dignitaries have been invited to participate in the ceremony exercises as well.

Empower Erie will receive an honorary degree from the college for its work in paving the way for the college to exist.

Graduation provides an opportunity to celebrate how far EC3 has come in such a short time.
