Students attending Erie County Community College (EC3) will now have an even more seamless path to transfer their credits to Slippery Rock University (SRU) as the two institutions have signed an agreement to ensure a student who starts at EC3 can finish at SRU on time and in an affordable manner.

Under this agreement, students will receive assistance like academic planning and advising as well as participate in opportunities that would allow SRU and EC3 students to meet.

“We are excited to partner with Slippery Rock University,” Guy Goodman, Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs. “This transfer agreement is an example of how EC3 can work together with educational partners throughout the Commonwealth to provide increased access to higher education for the Erie County community.”

The articulation agreement between the two institutions eases the transition of EC3 students looking to advance their education at a four-year institution.

Representing EC3 were Guy Goodman, vice president of academic and student services, and Elise Michaux, marketing and communication director. Michaux is also an SRU trustee and alumna.

Representing SRU at the signing ceremony were President William Behre; Michael Zieg, provost; Amanda Yale, chief enrollment management officer; Robert Lagnese, director of transfer admissions and orientation; and Emily Price, associate director, transfer articulation.
