ERIE, PA – The Erie County Community College will be home to a brand-new Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority sheltered stop at EC3PA West Campus, formally the Villa Maria Academy located at 2403 W. 8th St.
This new shelter location will service routes 30 and 32 to facilitate transfers from routes running from the county into the city. This new hub with become active with the next scheduled service adjustments in mid-December.

“The new state-of-the-art shelter is powered by solar panels along the roof, providing a safe and well-lit waiting place for riders,” said EMTA CEO, Jeremy Peterson.

This new hub will allow students and staff of the community college, Millcreek residents, and other EMTA riders easy access to the entirety of the city and county.

“An agreement was established when the college first opened between EMTA and EC3 for its students, staff, and faculty to ride for free of charge on all EMTA bus services by simply showing their EC3 identification,” said Dr. Chris Gray, President of EC3PA.
